Frozen seaweed - Kombu

Kombu contains many of all the important minerals, and it is the seaweed with highest content of iodine.

Kombu also contains much MSG.

The Unami flavour is strongest in seaweeds from salty waters similar to the coast of Ireland.

To use Kombu, it has to be boiled for 10-15 minutes or else it will
be to tough.
Kombu is used to cook fish in, thin shreds in salads, soups,
bread and it can be deepfried in oil as crisps
